    Quick Facts

Full Name: Molly RothPlace Of Birth: Wilmington, North Carolina & Nevada City, California

(Use arrows at right to view more) North Carolina born soul-pop singer, Molly Roth can’t help but create art on a daily basis. Starting classical piano lessons at age six, she decided to form an all-girl pop band (inspired by the Spice Girls) with her friends at her 8th birthday party. She made everyone sign contracts saying that, no matter what, they would keep making music together. When her family later moved to California, the band didn’t stay intact, but her drive and determination did. Singing and playing the piano became a solo activity for Molly.

A natural entrepreneur, Molly Roth formed her own music wedding business at 14, received a full scholarship to study at the Gold Country Piano Institute for classical performers at 16, and by the time she was 17, Molly was out of the house chasing her musical dreams. She moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in music, where she attended Musicians Institute. She has performed all over the Sunset Strip, from the Roxy to the House of Blues, Viper Room, Troubadour, Key Club, and more.

Molly moved to London to study at MI’s sister school in Kilburn, The Institute, where she took a songwriting course and met an instructor who insisted she pursue a career as a musician. After receiving a full scholarship to UC Berkeley, Molly began her undergraduate studies while working for Universal Music Group as a college representative. She immersed herself in the business side of music and learned about what it takes to become successful. Her hard work paid off – Molly was offered jobs in the industry long before she graduated, but respectfully declined as she hoped to move forward as an artist herself.

The day after her graduation Molly Roth was back in Los Angeles and was a stronger songwriter and performer than she had ever been. She came with even more focus and determination than ever, crafting songs and a persona based on a vision she developed while in Berkeley. Molly Roth is set to release her debut new EP later this year. The first single “Pin Me Up”, is based on different elements of her personality and is just an introduction of what is to come.
